Rosters

Little Athletics relies upon parent/caregiver assistance to not only help events run smoothly and competitions finish on time, but it also fosters a sense of community involvement and engagement.

For parents and caregivers, being actively involved in your child’s athletic pursuits through volunteering can be a rewarding experience. Not only do you get to contribute to the smooth running of events, but you also get to witness your child’s progress up close. Some would say, you get the best seat in the house!

The requirement for parents and caregivers to complete at least 4 rosters as part of an athlete’s qualification towards Centre Championships is in place to ensure a fair distribution of volunteer responsibilities. This ensures that the burden isn’t falling on just a few individuals, and everyone shares in the responsibility and encourages a sense of teamwork and cooperation among families.

If you’re a parent or caregiver of an athlete involved in EHLAC, consider this an opportunity to actively engage in your child’s interests and be part a fun and enthusiastic group of likeminded families creating lasting memories for you and your athlete.

What you need to do:

  • Add your child’s name to the roster available at training, by e-mail or by commenting on the Facebook post,
  • Turn up to site on competition days to have your volunteering signed off by a key official,
  • Complete at least 4 rosters (full competition days and not 4 individual events) for your athlete to qualify for Centre Championships at the end of the season.
